Alfredo Mendoza, M.D., M.S. Transplant Hepatologist

Alfredo Mendoza, M.D., M.S. plays a critical role as hepatologist on our liver transplant team. He joined LifeLink from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where he was on faculty after completing a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology.
He has broad experience in many aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology, including therapeutic endoscopy and immunosuppression management having completed a hepatology fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University of Birmingham in England and working as a transplant hepatologist in Colombia. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Mendoza served as an instructor in Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Penn State University College of Medicine.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mendoza has an interest in clinical research, having obtained a Masters Degree in Health Evaluation Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
He is a member of numerous medical associations including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
In addition to providing medical care to liver transplant recipients, Dr. Mendoza will concentrate on providing health and disease management to patients with compromised liver function.
