James T. Huang M.D., F.A.C.S., Transplantation Surgery |
James T. Huang, M.D., F.A.C.S., joined LifeLink in July 2004 as a kidney, liver and pancreas transplant surgeon. He completed his transplant surgery fellowship here at LifeLink and his general surgery residency at the University of South Florida. Dr. Huang attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Public Policy at the School of Engineering and his medical degree from the School of Medicine.
Dr. Huang recently presented data from his research on post-transplant immunosuppressant.
Dr. Huang is board eligible and holds his Florida State medical license. He has been awarded numerous honors including Research Fellow, Moffitt Cancer Research Center, and outstanding intern award from the University of South Florida's Department of Surgery.
Dr. Huang recently presented data from his research on post-transplant immunosuppression monitoring at the 2004 American Transplant Congress and has published articles in the Journal of Surgical Research, the Journal of Urology, and the Journal of the Kentucky Medical Association.
He has been instrumental in research studies. Dr. Huang is fluent in English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Spanish, and French. He also enjoys playing the violin, basketball, tennis and, photography. During his transplant fellowship, Dr. Huang will work closely with the transplant surgical and clinical team, as well as the LifeLink Transplant Immunology Laboratory team.
