Professional Education

LifeLink's hospital development staff gives support and education within hospitals and other entities with whom we partner, to maintain a high level of service. They work in conjunction with the transplant coordinators. This effort is made possible by sound relationships built on mutual respect and trust with hospital administrators, physicians, nurses, and medical examiner offices throughout Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Many of LifeLink's existing practices were recognized as Best Practices by HHS for the National Organ Donation Breakthrough Collaborative initiative, whose mission is to increase organ donation in the nation's largest hospitals. Participating hospitals in Florida received recognition for enhanced achievements, and others are implementing mechanisms for improvement.
