    LifeLink Tissue Bank, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving patients in need of transplantation therapy is searching for a dynamic leader to provide daily oversight and management of the Tissue Bank Operations with an emphasis on production and management development. A strong managerial background is required and the successful candidate must be able to provide both focus and motivation toward short and long-term goals. We are the largest not-for-profit tissue bank in the Southeast, and one of the largest in the United States. We work in a sensitive, diligent, and compassionate manner to facilitate the donation of desperately needed tissues for waiting patients. To accomplish our goals, the professional we select for this critical role must have at least 5 years of management experience in a medical device manufacturing environment or in tissue manufacturing, proven leadership skills, holds a bachelors’ degree in Life Science or BioTech Industry Field. MBA degree is desired, and lean manufacturing experience a plus. Knowledge of regulatory agency standards are necessary as this position is responsible for ensuring that all processing activities are performed in accordance with established LifeLink, AATB, and FDA requirements.

  • Georgia:Per Diem Tissue Recovery Tech

    Per Diem Tissue Tech responsible for activities associated with tissue recovery. Work within general guidelines and in coordination with LifeLink Staff and Logistics Support Personnel, applies principles of sterile technique and surgical expertise in the recovery of a variety of cadaveric tissues for transplant, participates in a rotating per-diem schedule updated every seven days for bone and tissue recoveries, and maintains an open line of communication with Recovery Supervisor and the Tissue Recovery Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY FOR CONSIDERATION

    Participates in the surgical recovery of human tissue for transplantation.

    Thorough knowledge and comprehension of septic technique.

    Ability to circulate in an operating room setting.

    Inspect and monitor equipment, supplies, and instrumentation being used for procurement.

    Assist in the preparation of all sterile work areas and supplies needed for various stages of procurement.

    Consults with supervisors as it relates to accepted performances of various responsibilities.

    Adheres to established protocols set forth in the LifeLink Foundation Tissue Bank Standards and Procedures Manual.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Work experience as a Surgical Tech or closely related field.

    Proven ability to circulate in the operating room.

    All contracted employees will respond to pages within 15 minutes or the primary coordinator will move to the next on-call employees.

  • Georgia:Transplant Coordinator

    Based at LifeLink of Georgia’s Atlanta office, the Transplant Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to direct the resources available to facilitate a successful recovery of organs and tissues for transplantation once a potential donor has been identified. Included in this responsibility is presenting the option of donation; placement of organs (attempting to maximize each donor); recovery and preservation of donated organs; and providing support and follow-up for involved parties. Coordinators are also to be available as resources and support for the Hospital Development and Public Education programs as directed by the Executive Director.

    QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY FOR CONSIDERATION

    1. Advanced medical, technical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills required.
    2. Must be able to perform functions under pressure and/or after 20-40 hours without sleep.
    3. Experience in public speaking.
    4. Bilingual a plus.

    REQUIREMENTS

    1. R.N. or P.A. preferred with ICU, CCU, ER and/or OR experience.
    2. Ability to work extended hours and customary work has an additional 7-day/24 hour per day availability.
    3. Ability to deal with a high-stress level resulting from the emotionally and physically draining nature of the work.
    4. Ability to travel.
