From signing up to become a donor to initiating a campaign in your workplace encouraging others to sign up, the possibilities to help save lives are near endless. The Carter donor family, pictured to the right, became champions of organ donation after losing their son, Austin. In the months following his death, Austin's mom Natalie began a campaign within her workplace to share information with fellow employees about donation. Public education initiatives are vital in helping to save lives. If you've already registered to be a donor and want to do more, consider volunteering in public education. You'll work with diverse groups within the community in schools, at special events, and more. Help is aways needed to initiate high school, college or workplace "donor designation drives," and volunteers provide us the crucial introductions we need in order to make those events happen. Finally, the LifeLink Legacy Fund provides several options to pledge financial support to help transplant patients in need. |

The LifeLink Legacy Fund is 501(c)3 organization originally established in 1990 as the Endowment for Giving. Its mission over the last twenty years has been to support the Foundation's efforts in organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The Legacy Fund has focused its efforts on pre- and post-transplant patients in need of financial assistance. Through the generosity of sponsors, the Legacy Fund has provided over $1.3 million in support to transplant patients. The Legacy Fund also supports scientific endeavors to enhance transplantation therapies. Our mission is to continue to provide hope for those in need of transplant therapy.
