Transplant Cardiology

 

Peter Berman, M.D., F.A.C.C., completed a fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Louisville and completed his residency in internal medicine at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, after graduating from St. George’s University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Berman is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine.  Prior to joining LifeLink, Dr. Berman served as an interventional cardiologist in Clearwater and Tallahassee, Florida, and was the Director of Non-invasive Cardiology as well as the Co-Director for the Chest Pain Emergency Room and Nuclear Cardiology departments at University Community Hospital in Tampa.

Dr. Berman has published in journals including the Annals of Internal Medicine.  He served as principal investigator for numerous cardiovascular trials and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. 

A member of the Heart Failure Society of America, Dr. Berman also belongs to the Florida Medical Association and the Society of Nuclear Cardiology. 

He will concentrate on heart failure disease management and imaging and non-invasive cardiology while serving as a community resource to physicians throughout the Tampa Bay area.
