Angel E. Alsina, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the
Director of the Liver Program
with a focus on renal and hepatic end-stage disease. He completed a fellowship in kidney and liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery at the New England Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School Program in Boston, Massachusetts.
His surgical residency was also completed in Boston at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Dr. Alsina is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has experience in all aspects of transplantation of the liver, kidney, pancreas and vascular access surgery.
He carried out original experiments in small bowel and liver transplantation during his training.
